Tracey Collis
Tracey first worked as an award winning theatre designer, before being inspired by the film industry in 1985. She has been working as an Art Director/Production Designer for most of the 26 yrs after being thrown in the deep end early in her career.

With a keen eye for design she has worked on many award winning commercials with large set builds. Tracey’s in-depth understanding and knowledge of the industry gave her the inspiration for Setscapes.

With over 380 commercials, 6 documentaries and 7 features, her latest work has been for some of Europe’s biggest clients and directors including Joe Roman, Daniel Barber, Chris Hewitt, Hugh Hudson and David Cornell. She has also been involved in the building and design of 17 casino installations.Tracey continues to Art Direct and is also available as a consultant/designer at Setscapes.

Claire Letoret
Claire started her career as a sought after gilder in the palaces of her birth place, France.

After many years of travel and design work, she settled in Cape Town in 1996, where she started working as Assistant Director in the film industry.

Claire's creative and practical skills added great value to Setscapes when she joined in 2006, and with this in mind became an equal partner with Tracey in the business. They opened a second company in 2007. Tattoo Furniture.

Claire won the Elle Decoration Designer of the Year [Kitchen section] in the company's first year. Claire still AD's and has constant input into the running of Setscapes.

Michele Barfoot
Michele joined our team in September 2010. She has been in the film industry for ten years and has had her own small furnishing company since 1990.

Michele has been involved in interior design and renovations including projects such as Michico London in Cavendish to the latest Dental practice in the Piazza du Luzz in Sea point.

Her work includes handmade frames for Sir Richard Branson as well as the Waterfront Aquarium. She has been involved in large projects for Coca-Cola, branding original furniture pieces for restaurants.

Michele is now involved with sourcing and making up of new props and furniture for Setscapes as well as Props Master for Art Director and owner Tracey Collis.

Stuart Mare
Having specialised in solid woods and decking, Stuarts' own previous company built Ernie Els’ gazebo and jetty.

He has worked in the film industry since 1999 and has completed over 350 commercials and 6 films. A few of his set builds include The Bachelor, Kings Solomon Mines, Man2Man and Pavement.

Mark Dampies
Company Bookkeeper, Mark joined Setscapes in mid 2009. His previous experience lies in Retail, Property Management, Construction, and Short term Insurance.

The married father of one, enjoys the IT part of life and is an aspiring documentary film maker and film editor.

Wilma Skippers
Wilma knows the ins and outs of the props house and has been a part of the team since 2005.

As Props Supervisor she will assist in any queries regarding your props.

Innocent Madziwa
Innocent has been part of the team since 2008. He is always ready to assist in the props house and also assist in the workshop, manufacturing props and building sets.

3d design

Setscapes offers a 3D design service which enables the client to see the set come alive before being built. Technical drawings are also done to ensure correct dimensions and materials are used.

Noelene Nel is involved in the 3D designs and drawings for Setscapes. She obtained her diploma in interior design in 2007 and has since worked on various projects which include commercial sets, interiors, furniture and graphic design. Her services are also available to companies on a freelance basis.
